Privacy Policy
Last Contact: Maze Survival — updated 29 September 2026
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Applies to: the game Last Contact (com.jesterday.lastcontact) on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
This policy applies only to Last Contact. Other JesterDay Studio games have their own, separate policies.
Last Contact contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDK, no crash-reporting service and no user accounts. The game does, however, contact our purchase provider RevenueCat every time it starts (section 4.1).
1. Who we are
Last Contact is developed and published by JesterDay Studio ("JesterDay", "we", "us"), operating from Spain. Our full business identification is published on our App Store and Google Play developer pages.
We are the data controller for the limited personal data described below, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
Privacy contact: privacy@jesterday.studio General contact: info@jesterday.studio
2. Information we collect
We operate no game server and hold no player database. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not ask for your name or email, and there is nothing to sign in to inside the game. The game does connect to a few third-party services, described below — one of them (RevenueCat) without you having to do anything (section 4.1).
We do not collect, and the game does not request:
- advertising identifiers (IDFA / GAID) — the game shows no ads and displays no App Tracking Transparency prompt
- analytics, attribution, A/B testing, session recording or fingerprinting SDKs — the game contains no analytics or tracking SDK (note that RevenueCat processes purchase data, including in aggregated form; see section 4.1)
- location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
- browser or cookie data (there is no web component in the game itself)
IP address. We do not receive or store your IP address, because no server of ours is involved. However, whenever the game connects to the internet, the servers it talks to — RevenueCat (at every launch), and Apple or Google when you use their services — see your IP address, as with any internet connection. What they do with it is described in their own policies and in section 4.
Permissions. On Android the app asks only for network access, vibration, keeping the screen awake during play and in-app billing. It does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or photos. On iOS the system asks for Local Network permission the first time you use local co-op (section 4.5). The single-player game can be played without an internet connection.
Data leaves your device in these cases only: (1) the game contacts our purchase provider RevenueCat every time it starts, even if you never open the store screen; (2) if you are signed in, achievements and scores are sent to Apple Game Center or Google Play Games; (3) purchases are processed by Apple or Google; (4) if you use local co-op, data is exchanged directly with the other device on your Wi-Fi network — never through us. Section 4 details exactly what.
3. Information stored on your device
Your data is saved locally, on your device, and is never transmitted to us or stored on any server of ours:
- your saved game and progress
- statistics (games played, enemies defeated, buildings explored, play time)
- your bestiary (the creatures you have discovered)
- settings (language, vibration)
- a cache of your purchase status, recording whether the full version has been unlocked
- for local co-op: a randomly generated identifier and the last local network (IP) address used
This lives inside the app's private storage area and is deleted when you uninstall the game, unless your operating system backup (iCloud Backup / Google Auto Backup) has copied it — that backup is controlled by Apple or Google, not by us. We have no ability to read it remotely.
4. Third-party operators and services
4.1 In-app purchase — Apple, Google, RevenueCat
Last Contact is free to download and offers a single one-time purchase that unlocks the full game. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your name, address, email or card details.
To check whether the full game is unlocked, validate purchases and let you restore them on a new device, we use RevenueCat, Inc. (United States). The game contacts RevenueCat every time it starts — even if you never open the store screen or buy anything. RevenueCat receives and processes:
- a randomly generated anonymous app user ID, not linked to your name or email
- your purchase status and purchase data, including the store receipt / purchase token issued by Apple or Google
- platform, OS version, app version and country/region
- purchase, restore and refund events
- your IP address, which RevenueCat's servers receive whenever the game connects
Purpose: checking the purchase status, delivering and restoring the purchase you paid for, and fraud prevention. RevenueCat itself lists app functionality and analytics as the purposes of this data, and processes purchase data including in aggregated form. We do not use it for advertising or tracking, and it is not linked to your name or email.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of a contract — when you buy or restore a purchase; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in checking purchase status and preventing fraud — for the check at each launch. Opting out: the launch check cannot be switched off inside the game; the only way to avoid it is to play without an internet connection. You may also object (section 13). Transfer outside the EU: to the United States, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR). Privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
4.2 Apple Game Center
If your device is signed in to Game Center, the game submits achievements and leaderboard scores through Apple's GameKit framework. Apple processes your Game Center player ID, nickname, avatar and scores as an independent controller, under its own policy.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing standard platform game features, or your consent where Apple requires it. Opt out: Settings → Game Center on your device. The game stays fully playable. Privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy
4.3 Google Play Games Services
On Android, if you are signed in to Play Games, the game submits achievements and leaderboard scores. Google processes your Play Games player ID, gamertag, avatar, achievements and scores as an independent controller. The game does not use Play Games cloud save.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in providing standard platform game features, or your consent where Google requires it. Opt out / delete: Play Games app → Settings → Delete Play Games account & data. The game stays fully playable. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4.4 Crash and performance reports
We integrate no crash-reporting SDK. If your device sends crash diagnostics to Apple or Google, that happens at operating-system level under your own device settings (Share iPhone Analytics / Usage & diagnostics). Anything we see in App Store Connect or Google Play Console is aggregated and does not identify you.
4.5 Local co-op
Local co-op connects two phones on the same Wi-Fi network. The traffic goes directly between the two devices on that local network: it does not pass through any server of ours or of any third party, and we never receive it. Each device stores a randomly generated identifier and the last local IP address used for co-op (section 3), and the other device necessarily sees your device's local network address in order to connect.
Security notice: local co-op traffic is not encrypted and not authenticated. Other people on the same network may be able to observe it or connect to it. Use co-op only on networks you trust, such as your home Wi-Fi, and avoid public or shared Wi-Fi.
Permission (iOS): the first time you use co-op, iOS asks you to allow Local Network access. If you decline, or later turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network, co-op will not work but the rest of the game is unaffected.
We do not collect or process this data ourselves; it stays on the devices involved.
5. How we use the information
We use the limited data above only to:
- check at launch whether the full version is unlocked, and deliver and restore the in-app purchase you made
- display achievements and leaderboards through Apple's and Google's services
- diagnose crashes and improve stability, using aggregated store reports
- respond to you if you write to us
We do not profile players, do not take automated decisions with legal effects, and do not send marketing email — if you email us, we use your address only to answer you.
6. Choice
- No ads to opt out of — the game has none.
- Game Center / Play Games: turn off or delete via the platform settings in section 4.
- Purchase check at launch (RevenueCat): cannot be switched off inside the game; the only way to avoid it is to play without an internet connection. You may object or ask for deletion as described in section 13.
- Local co-op: optional; on iOS you can decline or revoke the Local Network permission in system settings.
- Local data: uninstall the game, or on Android use Settings → Apps → Last Contact → Clear data.
- Purchase data: write to privacy@jesterday.studio and we will pass the request to RevenueCat.
Declining Game Center / Play Games and local co-op still leaves the game fully playable.
7. Information we share
We do not sell, rent or share personal information with data brokers, ad networks or any third party for their own marketing.
Limited disclosure happens only:
- to the service providers named in section 4, to run the features you use;
- where required by law, court order or a valid request from a public authority;
- to protect our rights, safety or property, or those of our players;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or transfer of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data until the successor notifies you otherwise.
8. Information security
Data on your device is protected by the sandboxing and encryption of your operating system. All traffic to Apple, Google and RevenueCat is encrypted in transit with TLS. Local co-op traffic is the exception: it is not encrypted or authenticated (section 4.5). No system is perfectly secure, but because we keep no player database of our own, there is none for us to breach.
9. We operate from Spain
We operate from Spain, in the European Union. The only transfer outside the EEA is to RevenueCat in the United States, covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses (section 4.1). Apple and Google carry out their own transfers as independent controllers, under their own policies and safeguards.
10. Children's privacy
Last Contact is a horror game rated approximately PEGI 12 / ESRB Teen. It is not directed to children and is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, or under the age of digital consent where it is higher (14 in Spain, up to 16 in some EU countries). If you believe a child has provided personal data through Apple's or Google's game services, write to privacy@jesterday.studio and we will help direct the request to the right platform.
11. Retention of data
- On-device data: kept until you uninstall the game or clear its data, including the local co-op identifier and address — we set no expiry and cannot delete it remotely.
- Data at RevenueCat (anonymous user ID, purchase status and technical data): kept by RevenueCat under its own retention rules; for players who buy, for as long as the entitlement exists so you can restore it, plus any period required by tax and accounting law.
- Game Center / Play Games data: kept by Apple and Google under their own retention rules; delete it through the platform controls in section 4.
- Emails you send us: kept only as long as needed to handle your request, and no longer than 12 months afterwards unless a legal claim requires otherwise.
12. GDPR compliance and legal bases
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase status check at every launch (RevenueCat): anonymous ID, purchase status, IP address | know whether the full version is unlocked; fraud prevention | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest |
| Purchase validation and restore (RevenueCat) | deliver what you paid for | Art. 6(1)(b) — contract |
| Achievements and leaderboards | standard platform features | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest, or consent where the platform requires it |
| Aggregated crash reports | keep the game stable | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest |
| Answering your emails | respond to you | Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest |
Where a processing operation relies on legitimate interest, you may object at any time (see section 13); we have assessed that these uses are what a player would reasonably expect from a mobile game with an in-app purchase and involve no profiling.
13. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.
Because we hold no directly identifying data, most requests are fastest through the platform that holds the data:
| You want to | Where |
|---|---|
| Delete local progress and co-op data | Uninstall, or clear app data on Android |
| Delete Game Center data | Apple — Settings → Game Center, or Apple's privacy portal |
| Delete Play Games data | Google — Play Games → Settings → Delete account & data |
| Purchase data at RevenueCat | privacy@jesterday.studio — we forward it to RevenueCat |
| Anything else | privacy@jesterday.studio |
We reply within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests (Art. 12(3) GDPR). We may ask for information to verify the request; for purchase matters, please include the store order ID or, if you can find it, your anonymous app user ID.
Complaints: you may lodge one with the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (https://www.aepd.es) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
US residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and process no sensitive personal information. Use the contacts above to exercise access or deletion rights; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
14. Changes
We may update this policy when the game changes or when law or store policy requires it. The Last updated date above always reflects the current version, published at:
https://jesterday.studio/last-contact/privacy.html
Changes in the 29 September 2026 version: we added local co-op (section 4.5); clarified that the game contacts RevenueCat at every launch and that RevenueCat's servers see your IP address (sections 2 and 4.1); described the iOS Local Network permission; and removed references to cloud save, which the game does not use.
Material changes will also be noted in the store release notes.
