Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is processed when you play Color Meow Maze (the “Game”) on iOS or Android, why, and what choices you have. The Game is made by JesterDay Studio (“we”, “us”).
- There is no account and we never ask for your name, email or phone number.
- Your progress, settings and purchase status are stored on your device.
- Ads are served by AppLovin and its partners (including Google AdMob). Personalized ads are shown only where you have allowed them.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the Game is played (for example, which levels are too hard).
- You can change your ad choices at any time from Settings → Manage consent in the Game.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is JesterDay Studio, based in Spain. For any privacy question or request, write to info@jesterday.studio.
2. Information stored only on your device
The Game saves your level progress, scores, Bells, unlocked costumes and frames, streak, settings (sound, music, language, theme, Pattern Mode) and whether you bought Remove Ads. This data stays on your device: we do not upload it to our own servers. Uninstalling the Game deletes it.
Daily reminders, if you allow notifications, are scheduled locally on your device; no push service or server is involved.
3. Information processed by our partners
The Game includes software from the partners below. They may automatically collect information from your device when you play:
| Partner | Purpose | Information |
|---|---|---|
| AppLovin MAX (AppLovin Corp.) and the ad networks it works with, including Google AdMob | Showing ads, measuring them, limiting how often you see them, preventing fraud; personalized ads only with your consent where required | Advertising ID (Android advertising ID, or Apple IDFA only if you allow tracking), IP address, device model, operating system, language, approximate location derived from the IP address, ad interactions |
| Google Firebase Analytics (Google) | Understanding how the Game is played and improving it | A random app-instance identifier, gameplay events (levels started, won or failed, boosters used, ads shown and their revenue, sessions), device model, operating system, country |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Processing in-app purchases | Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we only receive a confirmation that a purchase was made |
| RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) | Validating purchases and restoring them on a new device | Purchase receipts and a random app user identifier; no name or payment details |
| Google and Apple connectivity checks | Checking whether you are online and reading the current date for the Daily Challenge | A simple web request to gstatic.com or apple.com; like any web request, it reveals your IP address to that server |
Each partner handles data under its own privacy policy: AppLovin, Google (AdMob, Firebase), Apple, RevenueCat. The full list of ad partners is available in the consent screen of the Game.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Sharing device identifiers with ad partners for personalized advertising may count as “sharing” or “selling” under some US state laws; you can opt out as described in section 6.
4. Why we process data (legal bases)
- Personalized ads: your consent, asked the first time you open the Game in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, and on iOS through Apple's tracking prompt.
- Non-personalized ads, fraud prevention and ad measurement: our legitimate interest in funding a free game.
- Analytics: our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Game. You can object at any time by writing to us.
- Purchases: performance of the contract when you buy something.
5. How long data is kept
Data on your device is kept until you uninstall the Game. Firebase Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months. Ad partners and app stores keep data according to their own policies.
6. Your choices
- Ad consent: change it any time in the Game under Settings → Manage consent.
- Tracking on iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone or iPad.
- Advertising ID on Android: reset or delete it under Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path depends on the device).
- Fewer ads: the optional Remove Ads purchase turns off banners and pop-up ads.
- Notifications: turn them off in your device settings.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Because the Game has no account, we usually cannot link data held by our partners to you: include your device's advertising ID in your request if you have it, or contact the partner directly.
Write to info@jesterday.studio. We answer within one month. In the EU you can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
8. International transfers
Our partners may process data outside your country, including in the United States. They rely on safeguards recognized by the European Commission, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Data sent by the Game travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method is perfectly secure, but we and our partners use reasonable measures to protect it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when the Game or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version; important changes will also be announced in the Game or on this page.
